Join Sarah in making this classic and elegant Elastic Waist Skirt!
The Elastic Waist Maxi Skirt by Assembly line is shaped with an elasticated waistband for ultimate comfort. It features large patch pockets and topstitching. Mix and match with different tops when you navigate your styling from week to weekend. Sizes Offered: XS-3XL
This class is suitable to confident beginners and above - you must have some prior experience and be able to thread your sewing machine, wind and insert the bobbin, and sew a straight stitch and back-tack. Prior garment sewing experience is helpful but not necessary.
The class will be offered over the course of two sessions as follows:
Saturday June 1, 2024: 10:00-3:00 PM
Sunday June 2, 2024: 10:00-3:00 PM
Instruction Fee is $160, kit fee includes Assembly Line Elastic Waist Skirt pattern and elastic is $30, for a total of $190. Please purchase both the instruction fee and kit fee!
What to Bring:
- Prewashed and dried fabric. Suggested fabrics are light to mid-weight fabrics such as cotton poplin, denim, wool, cotton twill. Suggest Fabric Qualities are as follows:
54-60 in in fabric width
XS-L: 2.25 yds, XL-2XL: 3 yds, 3 XL: 3.25 yds
-1/2 yard fusible interfacing
- coordinating or contrasting thread
*We are available during shop hours to answer any basic sizing and fabric questions.
- Basic tools are provided in our studio for students. However, feel free to bring you own tools for your personal use.
- Machine + accessories (foot pedal, power chord bobbin, etc)
We recommend bringing your own machine so you can continue to learn the ins and outs of sewing on your home machine! If you need, we offer studio machines to use upon request. Machines are limited. Please feel free to reach out to us at info@lakesmakerie.com for more info.
- Lunch, Snacks, and Water. There will be about a 30 min lunch break during the class. Our neighbor cafe Heather's (1 block away) is also a great option for grab and go food!
Limited to 4 spots! If you need to cancel later than 1 week before class is held, you will receive store credit.
