Sew a Simple Shift Dress, Thursday Evenings June 14, 21, 28
Learn to sew from a pattern or improve your garment sewing technique. We will measure, make and fit a Pearl shift dress (or the Esme dress from Lotta Jansdotter's book Everyday Style). This is a simple but stylish starter pattern in sizes XS through curvy 3 that is a great jumping off point. We will learn French seams, a simple set in sleeve, bound or faced neckline, inset or patched pockets, a machine blind hem and more. This classic dress works in most medium weight, moderate bodied fabrics like chambray, poplin, shirting, stable linen/linen blends, lightweight denim or quilting weight cotton! Let us help pick a beautiful fabric for you...
