Garment Sewing for Quilters, 3 Tuesdays starting May 9
Quilters have mad sewing skills, attention to detail and they love fabric. So why do many of them never sew garments? Is it fit?, inscrutable pattern instructions? Fear of the third dimension? Let's get together and conquer this by making a great dress, tunic or top that fits!
We will measure, make and fit a toile for the Pearl shift dress, and then make a final version with any of variety of neckline, yoke or sleeve details. This is a simple but stylish starter pattern in sizes XS through curvy 3 that is a great jumping off point. It works in chambray, stable linens, lightweight denim or even quilting cotton!
Tuesdays May 9, 23 and 30, 7-9:30 PM.
